This prolific series centres around title character and hero, James Charles Bigglesworth, better known by his nickname "Biggles". Written by English novelist and First World War pilot, W. E. Johns, under his pen name Captain W. E. Johns. 

Complete with the publisher's original unclipped dust wrappers.

Comprising the following titles:

Biggles in the South Seas (1951) - Sixth impression. Six full-page black-and-white illustrations. 

Biggles Goes to War (1952) - Seventh impression. Six full-page black-and-white illustrations. 

Biggles in Borneo (1952) - Fifth impression. Four full-page black-and-white illustrations. 

Biggles Flies West (1952) - Fifth impression. Seven full-page black-and-white illustrations. 

Biggles Hits the Trail (1953) - Fourth impression. Six full-page black-and-white illustrations. 

Biggles in Spain (1953) - Sixth impression. Six full-page black-and-white illustrations. 

Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original cloth bindings. With the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, very smart, with mild rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Dust wrappers are generally smart, with heaviest chipping to 'Borneo' and 'South Seas'. Lighter chipping to the edges of the remaining volumes. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the occasional spot to 'Trail' and 'South Seas'. Offsetting to the endpapers of 'Goes to War'.
