Bound in quarter leather, with beautifully carved wooden boards.

This decorative copy of the Red Letter New Testament was published with the intention to be a souvenir.

The Red Letter refers to the words of the Lord being printed in red, while the remaining text is printed in black. This particular New Testament was translated out of the original Greek, and appointed to be read in Churches.

Illustrated with six colour illustrations and a frontispiece. Collated, complete. 

Date stated to the verso of the title page, whereby the licence to print this work is stated.

Condition

Bound in quarter leather, with beautifully carved wooden boards. Externally, very smart, with light bumping to the spine causing a little loss. A tear to the rear joint. Front hinge is a touch strained, but holding firm. Internally, firmly bound with very bright, clean pages.
