Oliver Goldsmith was a novelist, playwriter and poet from Ireland who used to attend literary parties with other celebrated writers including Samuel Johnson and James Boswell. He also wrote works on the history of England and Roman History for use in schools at the time.

Collated, complete.

Condition

In a full calf binding by Bayntun Riviere, with gilt decoration. Externally, very smart. Some minor markings to the boards. Light rubbing to the joints, mostly to the front joint, and to the head and tail of the spine. A few odd spots to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
