Ruth Lowinsky (1893-1958) was an English food writer and society hostess, celebrated for her charming and creative recipe collections.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Very slight soiling to extremities. Slight offsetting with scattered spotting to gutter of endpapers. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Dust wrapper, generally smart. Clipped. Slight rubbing to wraps. Closed tears to spine. Chipping to extremities with the odd small closed tear. Slight offsetting to inside wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the odd scattered spot to gutters of first and last leaves and one or two spots heavier to fore edge.
