In the original unclipped dust wrapper.

A series of Auden's shorter poems are included here, with the exception of the three long poems each of which is a volume by itself. 

Auden's poetry is noted for its stylistic and technical achievement, its engagement with politics, morals, love, and religion. Auden was also a prolific writer of prose essays and reviews on literary, political, psychological, and religious subjects.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with a few tidemarks affecting the edges of the boards. Light shelf wear and sunning to the spine. Dust wrapper is dust toned and spine is sunned. Edgewear and handling marks to the wrap. Light chipping to the spine head and tail and a couple small closed tears. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting and spotting to the endpapers.
