    Description

    Early Edition, Illustrated, Signed, With Dustwrapper

    Signed by Blyton to the front free endpaper, 'Love from Enid Blyton'.

    The second impression. First published in 1942. 

    Complete with the vanishingly scarce publisher's unclipped dust wrapper.

    A collection of sixteen tales, written for the amusement of small children and intended to be kept on the nursery bookshelf.

    Illustrated with charming vignettes from Eileen A. Soper.

    Condition

    Bound in the publisher's cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart, with light marking to boards and a little bumping to the extremities. Light spotting to fore edge. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Dust wrapper is excellent, with light edge wear and a few small chips. A few spots to the wrap's verso. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Slight odour to book.
