This delightful children's series follows the character of  James Charles Bigglesworth and his friends as they embark on exciting adventures. Many of the stories are set in wartime, echoing Captain W. E. Johns own experience as a First World War pilot. The first Biggles story, The Camels are Coming, was published in 1932 and Johns continued writing up until his death in 1968, having written almost one hundred Biggles novels and short-story collections.
