    First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

    The first edition, first impression.

    In the original unclipped dust wrapper, with the scarce 'Book Society Choice' wraparound band.

    Set in Central Africa, 'The Sky and the Forest' follows a tribe and their king as Europeans come to sack their kingdom.

    By C. S. Forester, best known for the creation of Horatio Hornblower.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper, and wraparound band. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the tail of the spine. Very light edge wear and a few minor marks to the dust wrapper. Wraparound band is a little sunned with light handling marks and a few small chips. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
