    First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

    An unclipped Rupert Daily Express Annual.

    In the publisher's original illustrated wraps.

    Illustrated throughout, this work features beloved children's character Rupert Bear and more of his charming adventures. 

    Rupert Bear, first appearing in the Daily Express newspaper in 1920, has been featured as an annual work since 1936 and is illustrated by Alfred Bestall, a former illustrator for Punch magazine.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original wraps. Externally, smart with sunning to the wraps. Front hinges failed. Internally, generally firm with the last two leaves disbound. Pages are generally bright with occasional spotting. Chipping to the front 'Book belongs to' page.
