Author's presentation copy, with his inscription to the recto of the front endpaper, presented to fellow poet John Heath-Stubbs. Bookplate of Heath-Stubbs to the front paste down. Heath-Stubbs was known for his poems inspired by classical myths, in particular his long Arthurian poem 'Artorius'.
In the original unclipped dust wrapper.
An anthology of poems by Leonard Clark, including 'Renaissance', 'It is Beyond Corruption', 'Corn Harvest', 'January Morning', 'Watching the Snow', 'Castaway', and more.
With an introduction by Walter de la Mare.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A few light marks to the boards. Bookplate to the front paste down. Author's inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Minor edge wear to the dust wrapper, with a few small chips and closed tears. Wraps are a little age-toned with handling marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
