'Painting as a Pastime' sheds light on Winston Churchill's relationship with the medium, reflecting on the joys and pleasures it brings in solidarity. 

The essay first appeared as two parts published in Strand Magazine in December 1921 and January 1922.

Complete with a monochrome frontispiece photograph of Churchill painting, as well as eighteen reproductions of his works in full colour.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. With the original clipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart with bumping to the extremities. Dust wrapper is edge worn and rubbed to the spine, with handling marks to the wrap. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
