Volume I, 'The Gathering Storm', published in 1948. Illustrated with one folding map. Two errata slips are present.

Volume II, 'Their Finest Hour', published in 1949. Illustrated with three folding maps.

Volume III, 'The Grand Alliance', published in 1950. Illustrated with three folding maps.

Volume IV, 'The Hinge of Fate', published in 1951. Illustrated with four folding maps and one folding plate.

Volume V, 'Closing the Ring', published in 1952. Illustrated with three folding maps and one folding plate.

Volume VI, 'Triumph and Tragedy', published in 1954. Illustrated with eleven folding maps.

Each volume is illustrated with in-text maps and diagrams.

Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, generally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spines. Light marks and dampstains to the boards, heavier to the rear board of Volume II and to IV, rear board of Volume V. Spots to the fore edges. Small amount of cockling to the boards of Volume III. Dust wrappers are a little edge worn, with repairs to the reverse, repairing small chips and closed tears. Wraps are a little age-toned, more so to the spines. Light rubbing to the joints. Spots to the reverse. Larger tear to the rear wrap of Volume I. Closed tear to the rear joint of Volume III. Chip to the head of the front wrap of Volume IV. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
