First edition. Scarce work, only two hundred copies printed. The first of these accounts of Churchwardens from Walberswick, a village and civil parish on the Suffolk coast in England, to have been fully transcribed. This collection is an important historical exploration of the wardens' responsibilities for civil and ecclesiastical affairs, giving light on the conditions in various parishes. Transcribed by Reverend R. W. M. Lewis.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Light spotting to the endpapers with a contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
