Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

Three very scarce little children's books printed on fabric by Raphael Tuck & Sons. Rarely seen in commerce. Each richly illustrated in full colour. Dated via Jisc.

Comprising 'My Alphabet Book,' 'Farmyard Friends' illustrative of animals, and 'Fairy Tale Favourites' with illustrations of Jack and the beanstalk, the Sleeping Beauty, Red Riding Hood, and more.

Raphael Tuck & Sons was a business selling pictures, greeting cards, and postcards. The Blitz of 1940-1 destroyed the company's head quarters, which included originals for most of their series, and the company never recovered.

Condition

In the original publisher's full cloth bindings, printed on fabric. Externally sound with light creasing to to leaves of 'My Alphabet Book' and general light soiling. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally very clean throughout.
