Set in the 1840s in the town of St. Petersburg, which is based on Hannibal, Missouri, where Twain lived as a boy, the novel follows Sawyer on several adventures with his friend Huckleberry Finn. Written by Samuel Langhorne Clemens, known by the pen name Mark Twain, an American writer, humorist, and essayist praised as the "greatest humorist the United States has produced,". Illustrated by John Keith Vaughan, a British painter. With an introduction from Graham Hutton, a British editor.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and fading to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is sound with wear and chipping to the extremities resulting in light loss. Sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the panels. Light creasing and the odd small closed tear to the panel edges with sympathetic repairs made with tape to the internal side. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
