Mary Russell Mitford (1787–1855) was an English author, essayist and playwright best known for this present work.

Bound in a quarter morocco binding with cloth boards. Externally, very smart. Spine faded. Slight fading to extremities. The odd very slight handling mark to boards. Slight offsetting to rear board. Previous bookseller's discreet label to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
