    Our Village is a classic series of sketches depicting rural life in early 19th-century England, celebrated for its vivid character portraits, gentle humor, and affectionate descriptions of countryside scenes, inspired by her experiences in Three Mile Cross near Reading, Berkshire.

    Mary Russell Mitford (1787–1855) was an English author, essayist and playwright best known for this present work.

    Condition

    Bound in a quarter morocco binding with cloth boards. Externally, very smart. Spine faded. Slight fading to extremities. The odd very slight handling mark to boards. Slight offsetting to rear board. Previous bookseller's discreet label to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
