What Our Customers Say...

Meninsky was a British painter of figures and landscapes, as well as a draughtsman and teacher. Here he illustrates two of John Milton's poems: L'Allegro and its companion piece, Il Pensoroso, with both full-page and in-text single and duotone drawings.
Pastoral poem 'L'Allegro' has from its first appearance been paired with 'Il Penseroso', which depicts a similar day spent in contemplation.
