Written by English novelist and travel writer, Evelyn Waugh, who was best known for his famous works 'A Handful of Dust', 'Brideshead Revisited', and 'Decline and Fall'.
Originally published in 1928, 'Decline and Fall' was Waugh's first published novel, and tells the story of Paul Pennyfeather following his expulsion from Oxford. With six full-page monochrome illustrations. Collated, complete.
Published two years later, 'Vile Bodies' is a satirical novel surrounding the bright young things, or the wealthy new generation living it up in London following the First World War.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's cloth, with the unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, very smart, with light bumping to the extremities and light marks to the cloth. Dust wrappers are smart, with edge wear and chipping to the extremities, heavier to 'Decline and Fall'. Sunning to the spines of the wraps with the odd mark. Internally, firmly bound. One or two spots to the fore edge, otherwise pages are bright and clean.
