A superior copy of this illustratied edition, with lithographs by German painter Hans Feibusch.
With the publisher's smart unclipped dust wrapper.

Feibusch is best known for his murals found in Anglican churches, producing what is likely the largest body of work in his particular metier by any artist in the history of the Church of England. After the Nazi Party came to power, he emigrated to English in 1933 and his works were subsequently exhibited in the 1937 exhibition of Entartete Kunst ("Degenerate Art").
With thirteen full-page colour illustrations, three of which are double-page. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with light scattered spotting to the top of the front board and a mark to the rear. Minor rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Dust wrapper is also smart, with a few small closed tears to the front and rear panels, one slightly larger at 2" to the rear. With general edge wear. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
