What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

The first edition.

A concise report on the devastating aftereffects of the dropping of atomic bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

The purpose of this report was to conclude what would happen if similar atomic bombs were dropped outside of Japan, in particular in Britain.

An interesting work produced after a British team spent a month, in November 1945, in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, only three months after the bombings.

Illustrated with twelve plates showing the destruction of the two cities. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart. Wraps are a little discoloured with light handling marks. Staples have rusted, as is expected, resulting in a small chip to the front wrap. Internally, firmly bound, though four leaves of plates are detached but present. Pages are bright and clean.
