This is a witty handbook to New Orleans for “unattached gentlemen and ladies of spirit,” looking to visit the French Quarter haunts. This guide covers classic venues, absinthe, cocktails, restaurants, bars and other Bourbon Street institutions, with digressions on art, jazz, Mardi Gras, loneliness, and the city’s louche sporting houses.
This copy features numerous colour block print illustrations by Eugenia and Bob Riley, reflecting the verve of New Orleans.
