Outline of English Architecture (1947) by A. H. Gardner is an account of architecture in England from its origins, through each century, to the twentieth century. Illustrated with 154 black-and-white plates.
The English Interior (1948) by Ralph Dutton is a guide to interior design in England between 1500 and 1900, with reference to continental influences, the age of splendour and the decay of taste. Illustrated with 171 drawings and photographs, many of which are in colour.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth bindings, with the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, lovely. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd spot to the fore edge, affecting the occasional page. Dust wrappers are smart, with light chipping to the head and tail of the spine. Scattering of spots to the dust wrapper of 'Travel in England'.
