This series of works on British birds was written in collaboration between H. F. Witherby. F. C. R. Jourdain, N. F. Ticehurst and B. W. Tucker. These ornithological works provide a comprehensive guide to British birds, with illustrations to aid in identification.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, excellent with minor edge wear and light bumping to the tail of the spine to volumes 'I, II and V'. The wraps are smart with slight sunning to the spines, small closed tears to the extremities, slight marks, two one inch closed tears to the tail of the rear to 'Volume V' and slight rubbing to the front and front joint of 'Volume III' resulting in very minor loss. Internally firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
