This directory for the city of London was published by the City Press and provides fascinating insight into the businesses and people working in the city after World War II, with the publication of this work being only two months after the war's end in September 1945. The directory features numerous advertisements from businesses, with a large amount of hospitals advertising for aid due to increased patients after the war. There is also mention of the destruction caused by bombings, with businesses advertising their new locations. The diary portion of this volume features a glimpse into the daily life of the author.

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with handling marks and minor shelf wear. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with ink notations to the diary spaces. pp. 27-98 have been excised.
