Complete in four volumes.
Volume I covers the period of 1817 to 1840, and contains thirty-nine illustrated plates, one of which is a folding map.
Volume II covers the period of 1841 to 1851, and contains twenty-six illustrated plates, one of which is a folding letter and one of which is a folding map.
Volume III covers the period of 1852 to 1856, and contains fifteen plates, one of which is a folding map.
Volume IV covers the period of 1857 to 1863, and contains twenty-seven illustrated plates.
Collated and complete.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally sound, with some light shelf wear and fading to the spines. Volume I and II have some light marks to the boards and spines. Some light bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and extremities. Internally, all volumes firmly bound. A few spots to the top-edge, as well as to the endpapers, and a few instances of spots to the pages in Volumes II and III. A small ink mark to page 556 in Volume III. Otherwise pages are bright and clean.
