With beautiful illustrated paste-downs, an engraved title page, 8 full page monochrome illustrations and numerous vignette illustrations throughout, by Rafaello Busoni. The delightful story of a young orphan boy called Jemmy and his little lavender cat, by Janette Sebring Lowrey. Lowrey is best known for writing 'The Poky Little Puppy' which, as of 2001, was the single all-time best-selling hardcover children's book in the United States.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some shelf wear to the extremities. The original unclipped dust wrapper is in sound condition. Separated down the spine. Chipping and shelf wear to the edges. Marks and offsetting to the rear panel. Small ink mark to the right flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with some age-toning.
