This volume is the standard work of reference on Merchant Ships of the World in 1944. There is a strong focus on the merchant ships of the British Empire, but also of countries like Argentina, Chile, Italy and France. 
 
With forty-one pages of adverts to the front of the volume.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. With a previous owner inscription to the front free endpaper dated 1944. Internally, generally firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
