This wartime fiction novel was written by Lord Dunsany, an Anglo-Irish writer best known for his fantasy work 'The King of Elfland's Daughter'. The work tells the story of a brave man who joins the guerrilla warriors to fight the Germans who have invaded his homeland.
Published during World War II, the dust wrapper features an advertisement for the BBC radio broadcast from London, Describing its importance in providing crucial and factual information on the war and talks from the leaders of Britain's allies.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally excellent with a slight lean and minimal rubbing to the extremities. Owner's signature to the front pastedown. The wrap is sound with sunning to the spine, handling marks, a 4" closed tear to the joint of the rear fly leaf and one to the head of the spine, with small closed tears and chips to the extremities. Internally firmly bound with clean and age toned pages.
