Esmond de Beer was a scholar, editor, and bibliophile from New Zealand. He worked as an editor for the Clarendon Press.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Author's inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Light edge wear to the dust wrapper. Minor handling marks and discolouration to the wraps, with some spots to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
