Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
This set offers six titles from W. E. Johns' aviator series, which centres around the adventures of Flight Officer Joan Worralson, or "Worrals", who Johns modelled after two female aviators of his acquaintance, Amy Johnson.
Johns was an English adventure novelist and WWI pilot, best known for his prolific 'Biggles' series for young readers.
All volumes are complete with the publisher's original dust wrappers, 'Goes Afoot' and 'Goes East' being price-clipped. Additional clear protective wraps are adhered to the wrappers of all but 'War-Path'.

Worrals on the War-Path (1943) - Second impression. With a colour frontispiece, eight full-page black-and-white illustrations and one dual-spread black-and-white illustration.
Worrals Goes East (1944) - First impression. With a colour frontispiece and eight full-page black-and-white illustrations.
Worrals of the W. A. A. F. (1948) - Fifth impression. With a colour frontispiece.
Worrals Flies Again (1948) - Third impression. With a colour frontispiece and five full-page black-and-white illustrations.
Worrals in the Wastelands (1949) - First impression. With a colour frontispiece.

Condition
In the original cloth binding. With the original dust wrappers, 'Goes Afoot' and 'Goes East' price-clipped. Additional clear protective wraps are adhered to the wrappers of all but 'War-Path'. Externally, majority of volumes only have minor shelf wear. Exceptions include fading and damp spots to the spine of 'War-Path' and damp spots to the boards of 'Goes East'. Dust wrappers for 'Goes East' and 'War-Path' are most heavily worn and chipped. Handling marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with a contemporary ownership inscription to the front free endpapers. With the odd minor offsetting and spot to the endpapers. Contemporary gift inscription to the half title of 'Goes East'.
