'The Moon is Down' is a military novella that was written by American author John Steinbeck to encourage resistance movements in occupied countries.
Based on Norway during World War II, the story tells of the military occupation of a small town in Northern Europe by the army of an unnamed nation at war with Great Britain and Russia.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. With the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart, with slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Faint damp marks to the boards. Dust wrapper is smart, with edge wear and light chipping to the spine head and tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with light spotting to the endpapers. Small ink inscription and previous owner's address tab to the front free endpaper.
