Peter Scott was a British conservationist and artist with a particular interest in observing wildfowl at a young age. He led expeditions to places such as the Galapagos Islands and wrote eighteen and illustrated twenty travel and wildlife books.
This set contains two of his early works. With vivid and intimate memoirs of Scott's various ornithological expeditions and observations.
'Morning Flight' - The sixth impression. With a colour frontispiece containing a self portrait, fifteen colour plates and forty-six monochrome plates.
'Wild Chorus' - The third impression. With a colour frontispiece, nineteen colour plates and forty-eight plates in sepia.
Collated, complete.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart. With rubbing and bumping to the extremities, with heavier instances to 'Morning Flight' spine, causing small loss of cloth. Marks to the boards, heavier to 'Morning Flight'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with the odd spot, heaviest to the endpapers.
