What Our Customers Say...

Description

Decorative Binding, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

Abundantly illustrated with monochrome vignettes to assist the reader in horticultural and small scale agricultural practices.

In lovely pictorial cloth binding, with a gardening-themed cartouche decorating the front board, and a cornucopia at the spine.

Very scarce.

This is both a handsome and comprehensive guide to becoming self-reliant for produce and livestock. An ideal companion for those who wish to learn the art of digging, seed sowing, and transplanting that further offers its reader detailed advice on preservation methods, foraging, and beekeeping.

Condition

In the original publisher's pictorial cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with some discolouration to the cloth, heaviest at the spine, and some minor marks, heaviest to the rear board. A minor damp stain to the front board at the joint, not impacting the design. Cloth is lightly rubbed, with a touch of bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, causing fractional splitting of the cloth in these areas. Tide marks to the pastedowns. Internally, binding is slightly strained in places. Pages are generally clean barring some scattered, light spotting and toning, and tidemarks affecting the front first free endpaper to pp. 20 and the rear first free endpaper.
