Description

Early Edition, First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

A terrific pair of cookery books published during World War II, both of which give insight into the effects and importance of rationed foods.

Comprising the first edition of 'More Kitchen Front Recipes' and the second edition of 'Storing, Preserving and Pickling'.

Both volumes complete with the publisher's original dust wrappers. 'Storing' price has revised price sticker over the original, but technically remains unclipped. 'More Kitchen' is unclipped and displays original price.

'More Kitchen Front Recipes' contains a further selection of Ambrose Heath's recipes drawn from his wartime broadcasts, supplemented by suggestions from his listeners.

'Storing, Preserving and Pickling' is, as the title suggests, a collection of economic and practical guide to storing, preserving and bottling fruits and vegetables for extended use.

Condition
