What Our Customers Say...

Description

Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

Third printing, originally published 1940. Very scarce work. Written for a wartime audience, this work provides a guide to keeping and rearing rabbits for the purpose of eating. The war had resulted in butcher's meat being closely rationed, and there is no doubt that there would have been homes in which additional supplies would be warmly welcomed. Being a complete guide for rabbit-keeping, from the necessary space and hutch design, to feeding for plump carcasses, and even obtaining the wool from certain rabbit breeds. Edited by Walter Brett, an English pioneer in natural history and agriculturalist. With publisher's advertisements to the rear.

Condition

In the original paper binding. Externally, smart with light wear and the odd small closed tear to the board edges. Light loss to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. A contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
