In the original publisher's cloth. Lacking very scarce dust wrapper. 

Written by Mass Observation, an organisation that aimed to record everyday life in Britain through volunteer observers, and edited by Tom Harrisson and Charles Madge. The work provides an insight into the public's opinions on the first four months of the Second World War and represents the overall moral of the country.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Lacking very scarce dust wrapper. Externally very smart with fading to the spine, marks to the boards and slight bumping to the extremities. Light offsetting to the endpapers with an old ink inscription dated 1940. Internally generally firmly bound with strain between pp. 100 - 101. Pages clean and generally bright.
