The acclaimed sequel to the popular children' literature work Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
Originally published in 1871, it follows the adventures of Alice as she returns to the fantastical world climbing through a mirror. She find that there, everything is reversed just like a reflection, including logic. This book was the first to gain popularity, which raised newfound appreciation for it predecessor. Lewis Carroll liked to write about fantasy, logic, and word play.
With illustrations in text by John Tenniel. Housed in its slipcase.
Condition
In the original publisher's full morocco binding with colourfully illustrated endpapers. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine an extremities. A hint of sunning to the spine. The slipcase is rather worn, with a cracking to the top edge pf the boards. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with sixteen full page plates in colour and other black and white illustrations in text. Collated, complete.
