This semi-historical novel tells of Christopher Columbus' third voyage to America, told through the perspective of the fictional Don Narciso Rich, who accompanies him. This voyage was significant in marking the decline of Columbus' influence when he was arrested and returned to Spain following a revolt among the colonists.
C. S. Forester (Cecil Louis Troughton Smith) was an English novelist widely renowned for his tales of naval warfare. His best known work is the twelve-book 'Horatio Hornblower' series set during the Napoleonic Wars.

In the original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with minor shelf wear. Dust wrapper is smart, with edge wear and handling marks. With instances of loss to the heads and tails of the spine and turns. With an ex library revised price label to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. With minor offsetting to the endpapers, otherwise pages are bright and clean.
