In publisher's original blue cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. 

With a frontispiece, and 15 further plates. Collated, complete.

A history of the independent church of City Temple, London. It is most famous for being the preaching place of 20th century liberal theologian Leslie Weatherhead, who wrote the foreword included in this work. Other notable preachers at City Temple include R.J Campbell, Joseph Fort Newton, and Thomas Goodwin. 


Condition

In publisher's original cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. Shelf wear to head and tail of the spine, with slight fading to edges. Ink inscription to front paste down. Dust wrapper is very smart. Sunning to spine, with shelf wear to extremities. Small closed tear to head of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with light spotting to the front and rear of the work.
