    First edition. Very scarce. A vibrant account of the East End and its diverse range of characters, built up from the author's own first-hand knowledge of the area. With descriptions of childhood and adolescent experiences around the streets of London's East End, its dance and boxing halls, tenements and alleyways, peppered with petty crime. Being a collection of autobiographical vignettes of immigrant Jewish life. Written by Willy Goldman, an English Jewish working-class writer.

    Condition

    In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the extremities.
