First edition. Scarce work. Illustrated with a frontispiece and thirty-nine plates. Collated complete. A charming notebook and guide to gardening year-round, with chapters on each month. This work provides information on the changes in the garden through the seasons and important times of the year for any gardener. With tips for planting and pruning. Written by Constance Spry, a British educator, florist and author.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with minor spotting to the foredge and endpapers. Light age toning to the endpapers with a contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
