A complete set.
In the publisher's original paper wraps. All Four Quartets contain fly leaves apart from Brunt Norton and Little Gidding.
Arguably Eliot's most philosophical work, the Four Quartets are poetic mediations on our relationship with time, the universe and the divine. In all four works, the sounds and physical properties of language are emphasised to create musical and dramatic effects which demonstrate Eliot's mastery.
Despite contemporary criticisms on its overt religiosity from authors like Orwell, many, including Eliot himself, see the Quartets as the crowning achievement of the literary giant's poetic career.
