Written by renowned poet, essayist, and playwright T.S Eliot. He was a leading figure in English language Modernist poetry, where he reinvigorated the art through his use of language, writing style, and verse structure. 

This set of volumes are four poems written by Eliot that were published over a six year period. The first poem, Burnt Norton, was published with a collection of his early works in 1936.

The other three poems, East Coker, The Dry Salvages and Little Gidding, were composed after a few years during World War Two and the air raids on Great Britain. 

They are four interlinked meditations with the uniting theme of man's relationship with time, the universe, and the divine.
