    First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

    The first edition of this scarce pamphlet, being no. 18 of the a special number of bimonthly magazine Twentieth Century Verse, titled 'The Poet and the Public.' 1939. 

    Exploring the relationship between the poet and their audience, with contributions by Frederick Prokosch, Desmond Hawkins, Kenneth Allott and others. 

    Edited and published by Julian Symons. Illustrated with some in text line drawings. 

    In the original publisher's wraps.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally smart with some shelf wear and edge wear, with a minor faint spotting. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
