1939 Ten Little N-----S (And Then There Were None)
What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding
The first edition, first impression of Christie's iconic novel. Correctly dated to the tale of the title page verso; the 2nd state (export/colonial edition) has no date.
It is uncommon to find this novel with the original title, which takes its name from the 1869 minstrel song that serves as a major plot element.
The title 'And Then There Were None' was used for the American publication, with UK editions sporadically continuing to use the original title until 1985.
In the novel, when eight people arrive on a small isolated island off the Devon coast, each one dies mysteriously one after the other.
With two pages of advertisements to the rear.
With over 100 million copies sold, this is an exceptional example of the first edition of one of the best-selling books of all time.
