What Our Customers Say...
Description

A scarce proof copy of this uncommon work.
Published in the U. S. as 'St. George and the Witches'.
A dramatised adventure of St. George, written by J. W. Dunne to read for his children at bedtime. This is an enchanting fairy tale, an amusing fantasy in which St. George faces the antagonism of witches (including Circe), rather than dragons.
Illustrated with a frontispiece, and in-text illustrations throughout, by F. Rojankovsky.
J. W. Dunne is better known now for his 1927 work 'An Experiment With Time', in which he theorised on the nature of time and consciousness. He was also a pioneering aeroplane designer.
