A complete set of all forty issues of this weekly magazine published by the Amalgamated Press from March through to December 1938, dated accordingly, the first and only edition. In two volumes. 

These volumes, edited by Clarence Winchester and J. Laurence Pritchard, focus on the development and achievements of the world of aviation, covering a vast range of subjects. With technical articles on the function of an aeroplane, parachute landings, the work of the test pilot, aerial mountaineering, reading weather charts, and much more content of the likes. 

Richly illustrated in text in black and white, with nine full page plates in colour to volume I, two of which folding, and seven full page plates in colour to volume II. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding with gilt titles and blind stamped front boards. Externally, shelf wear to extremities and bumping to head and tail of spine. Split to front joint on volume 1, not compromising structure. The odd spot to end papers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with the odd spot.
