This work contains eleven short essays, each exploring the societal and philosophical elements of power, including religion, the mechanisms of the workforce and the control of money. 

Written by Eric Gill, an English sculptor, letter cutter, typeface designer and printmaker. 

With a paired illustration to each essay by Denis Tegetmeier.

Condition

In the original stapled wraps. With the original envelope/slipcase. Externally, very smart, with faint scattered spots visible to the rear and minor rubbing to the spine. Envelope is edge worn, with scattered spots. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. With the bookplate of one T. Birkett to the verso of the front cover.
