Sax Rohmer was the pen name of British author Arthur Henry Sarsfield Ward, best known for his immensely popular series of thrillers featuring the criminal mastermind Dr Fu Manchu. Blending mystery, adventure, and espionage, his books captivated early 20th-century readers and inspired numerous film, radio, and television adaptations.

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Bump to back strip head, otherwise externally excellent, with the odd spot to text block fore edge. Handling marks to dust wrapper rear wrap, with small loss to front wrap head, more significant loss to rear wrap head. Closed tears and small chips to back strip head and tail, with significant closed tear to front flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
