Cravath was an American corporate lawyer and was a leader in the American Atlanticist movement, and was a founding member and director of the Council on Foreign Relations.
The June 1937 eighth impression of this work, which was first published in 1918.

In the publisher's original cloth backed paper covered boards. A touch of rubbing to back strip head, otherwise externally excellent. Inscriptions to front free endpaper and pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Spotting to title page head with pages otherwise exceptionally clean and bright.
